Lesson: Qadr — Allah's Wise Plan
Believing in Allah's plan is part of our Iman
Believing in Allah's plan — we call it Qadr — is part of what every Muslim believes. It means we trust that everything happens by Allah's knowledge and His wise plan. It is one of the things our Iman is built on.
Allah knows everything
Allah knows everything — what has already happened, what is happening now, and what will happen next. Nothing at all is hidden from Allah. Not one leaf falls without Allah knowing it. Because Allah knows everything, we can trust that He is never surprised and always in control.
Everything happens by Allah's plan
Allah made everything with a plan and a measure. Allah says: indeed, We created all things with qadar — with a measure and a plan (Qur'an 54:49). The sun, the rain, and even the day you were born are all part of Allah's perfect plan. Nothing happens by accident.
Trusting Allah makes our hearts calm
Believing in Allah's plan does not mean we stop trying. We still work hard, make good choices, and ask Allah for help — then we trust Allah with what happens. Sometimes good things happen, and sometimes hard things happen. When we believe that Allah is wise and in charge, our hearts feel calm and safe. Even when something is hard, we say "Allah has a plan," and we trust that Allah only wants good for us.
