Lesson: Sharing the Message

The message begins at home

At first, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ shared the message quietly with his own family and close friends. He did not shout or force anyone. Allah teaches us to invite people to Him with wisdom and kind, beautiful words. So the Prophet ﷺ spoke gently, and he told people the truth he had been given: there is only One God, Allah, and we should worship Him alone.

The first people to believe

The very first person to believe the Prophet ﷺ was his loving wife, Khadijah. She trusted him straight away and believed in Allah. Soon his good friend Abu Bakr believed too, and Abu Bakr helped bring even more people to Islam. A young boy named Ali, the Prophet's ﷺ cousin, also believed — he was one of the first children to accept the message. And Zayd, who lived with the Prophet's ﷺ family and was dearly loved, believed as well. These early believers became known as the Sahabah, the Prophet's ﷺ special companions.

A message of kindness

The Prophet ﷺ did not only teach people what to believe — he taught them how to live. He told people to be honest and to keep their promises. He told them to be kind to the poor and to share their food. Allah reminds us not to be harsh to the orphan and not to turn away someone who comes asking for help. The Prophet ﷺ cared most about the people others forgot: the poor, the weak, and those who had no one to look after them.

Patient and gentle

Not everyone was happy to listen. Some people laughed at the Prophet ﷺ or turned away. But he never became angry or unkind back. Allah told him to be patient with what people said, and to leave them in a gentle way. So the Prophet ﷺ stayed calm, soft-spoken and kind, and he kept sharing the good news. Little by little, more and more people opened their hearts and believed in Allah.
